Services Available

  • $150 Birth Pool In a Box Pool Rental / contains pool, liner, pump to fill pool, pump to drain pool

  • $75 In home breast feeding support/ tongue tie evaluation / baby weight check

  • $200 In home childbirth education / 2-4 hours of in-depth birth prep information on a personal level

  • Taking no clients for 2025 -2026 due to maternity leave 

  • Midwifery coverage for colleagues on vacation​

  • Birth Assistant when needed depending on home schedule

Labor and Birth Care - Home Birth

​
 

  • Supporting Mother through labor and birth the way that is most beneficial and comforting to her individually

  • Monitoring Mother's vital signs

  • Monitoring baby's heart rate, position and response to labor

  • Monitoring the progress of labor and well being of Mother and baby throughout labor

  • Helping Mother maintain strength, comfort, rest and a peaceful setting as much as possible

  • Offering food and drinks to Mother as she needs and wants them

  • Continuous support of Mother and baby during your entire labor and birth

  • Offering a warm birth tub, hot shower, touch, heating pads, cool packs, and comfortable positions as a means of pain relief

  • Encouraging upright positions and mobility to aid in the progress of baby and mother working through birth

  • Having anti- hemorrhagic treatment for hemorrhage available

  • Emergency equipment present at every birth to be used if necessary

  • Referring and or transporting any mom or baby who requires medical attention 

  • Placing baby in Mothers's arms as soon as he/she is born to stay with you for the entire first hour 

  • Encouraging skin to skin / breast feeding and uninterrupted mother baby bonding in the first hour

  • Delayed cord clamping, up to 30 minutes after birth

  • Delayed clamping allows baby to benefit from increased blood flow and lessens risk of infection 

  • Listening and respecting your choices and wishes throughout labor

  • Monitoring your and you baby's safety and well being and intervening only when needful

Postpartum Support and Well Baby Care

  • Mother and baby care after the birth 

  • Warm tea and a meal for mother 

  • Monitoring blood loss and taking preventive steps to keep mother's uterus firm

  • Breastfeeding support 

  • Newborn exam including weigh, length, vitals and much more

  • Preparing herbal bath for mother if desired

  • Two to three hours of continuous care during your immediate postpartum and longer as needed by individual mother

  • Treatment of perineum 

  • Vitals and well being of mother and baby evaluated before midwife leaves

  • Postpartum visits for mother and baby are scheduled for 24-48 hours, 3-4 day visit for your newborn screen, a  2-3 week followup and a 6 week visit 

  • Postpartum care visits include evaluating mother's physical and emotional well-being, answering any questions and providing breastfeeding support as needed or desired and monitoring baby for normal weight gain and growth, feeding patterns, jaundice, & overall well being
